Residents Report 4 Members Of The Kudus DPRD From The Gerindra Faction Who Skipped Meetings Up To 6 Times

JAKARTA - The Honorary Board of the Kudus Regency DPRD, Central Java, has followed up on public reports to four council members from the Gerindra Party faction who allegedly failed to attend policy formulation meetings or plenary meetings for up to six times.

"We have held an internal meeting with members of the BK DPRD Kudus on Wednesday (22/6), to follow up on the report," said Chairman of the BK DPRD Kudus Peter Muhammad Faruq in Kudus, Friday, June 24.

The next step, he said, was to ask for clarification from the complainant, whether the report was true or just an allegation.

The Honorary Board of the Kudus DPRD will look for evidence related to the report. He emphasized that the BK DPRD Kudus would process it according to the existing rules because so far the BK was considered one eye.

"We also invite board members to carry out their duties and responsibilities as board members. Even though there are different political views on budgeting in 2021, it is a rule that attending meetings is the obligation of every board member," he said quoted from Antara.

Meanwhile, member of the Kudus DPRD from the Gerindra Party faction Sandung Hidayat revealed a report that he and three other members did not attend the meeting because at that time the Gerindra Faction did not participate in the plenary meeting of the 2021 APBD Amendment.

"In our view, at that time the submission of the revised APBD file by the executive to the Kudus DPRD was too late so they did not agree with the change," he said.

Finally, he said, the Revised 2021 APBD was not signed by the Governor of Central Java.

Mohammad Asnawi, who reported the four members of the council, is a former Deputy Chairperson of the Gerindra Elections Winning Body for Kudus Regency. Meanwhile, the report was submitted to the Secretary of the Kudus DPRD on June 17, 2022.

The four people reported were Sulistyo Utomo, Sandung Hidayat, Zaenal Arifin, and Abdul Basyidd Shidqul Wafa.
