Suspected Of Stress Due To Stroke, A Man Jumped From 5th Floor Of Tarakan Hospital And Died

JAKARTA - A 60-year-old patient from Tarakan Hospital, Central Jakarta, who suffered from a stroke, ended his life by jumping from the fifth floor. This incident occurred on Wednesday, October 28 yesterday at around 07.40 WIB.

Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of Gambir Police, Comr. Gunarto, said that this incident began when his party received reports of a suicide attempt by a patient. When he arrived at the location, the victim was already outside the room or in front of the window.

"After mediation, it turned out that the victim did not want to come down. Then an evacuation was carried out by the Damkar officers. However, when the victim was being evacuated, the victim jumped and fell," Gunawan told reporters, Thursday, October 29.

After falling, the victim was immediately rushed to the Emergency Room (IGD) to get medical treatment.

"The victim was still alive and was taken to the emergency room for treatment and treatment. At 09.00 WIB the victim of the suicide attempt was declared dead," he said.

Gunarto then explained that CMK had been treated since October 25 at the Tarakan Hospital, Central Jakarta because of a stroke he had suffered.

"Before carrying out the suicide attempt, the victim suffered from a stroke and was treated in the Catelia Room, 5th floor of Building B, Tarakan Hospital starting October 25, 2020," he explained.

The victim's body, continued Gunarto, had now been taken by the family to be buried.

"The victim has been taken by his family to be buried at the West Java Funeral Home, Jelambar, West Jakarta," he concluded.
