Update On COVID-19 As Of October 28: Positive Cases Translucent 400 Thousand

JAKARTA - The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) has released data on developments in handling COVID-19. Based on examination of 40,572 specimens, there were 4,029 new positive cases.

"The total accumulation of positive cases since COVID-19 was discovered in Indonesia has reached 400,483 people," said data from the Ministry of Health, Wednesday, October 28.

Meanwhile, the number of cases recovered increased by 3,545, bringing the total to 325,795 people who recovered from COVID-19. Meanwhile, the number of cases died increased by 100 to become 13,612 people.

On the other hand, provincial data with the most number of positive cases were in DKI Jakarta. Based on data, as many as 844 people in the capital have tested positive for COVID-19. So that the total residents who have been infected have become 103,522 people.

Meanwhile, other provinces with a high number of positive cases were still in West Java with 403 cases. Meanwhile, Central Java with 318 cases.

Meanwhile, the province with the most recovered cases was also occupied by DKI Jakarta with 1,047 cases. Then, West Java with 367 cases and Central Java with 327 cases.

So far, 6 provinces have reported additional cases under 10. Among them, Gorontalo, North Maluku, West Sulawesi and Bangka Belitung.

In addition, the number of specimens examined reached 4,429,567. In detail, as many as 4,347,223 specimens were examined using real time polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) and 82,344 specimens using molecular rapid tests (TCM).

"The number of positive results per number of specimens examined (positivity rate) was 14.3 percent," he wrote.

Finally, the number of people suspected of having contracted COVID-19 or currently categorized as suspected cases was 169,883 people. Currently, 502 districts / cities from 34 provinces have cases of COVID-19.
