There Is Ganjar, Anies And Andika Perkasa, Surya Paloh Confirms That He Wants To Carry The Best Presidential Candidate

JAKARTA - Chairman of the DPP NasDem Party, Surya Paloh, emphasized that his party wants to nominate the best presidential candidate for the interests of the Indonesian nation.

"If whatever is best for this nation, the candidate we support, is elected, and then forgets about NasDem, well, that's our fate," said Surya Paloh when closing the NasDem National Working Meeting (Rakernas) at the Jakarta Convention Center (JCC) Senayan, Jakarta, Friday, 17 June.

The results of the recommendation of the NasDem National Work Meeting decided and determined DKI Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan, Central Java Governor Ganjar Pranowo, and TNI Commander General Andika Perkasa as presidential candidates to be promoted by the NasDem Party.

"I will open the results of the National Working Meeting recommendations addressed to me, decide and determine the recommendations for the presidential candidate for the Republic of Indonesia which will be carried by the NasDem party in 2024," said Paloh.

Paloh then mentioned the names of the presidential candidates, namely: first, Anies Baswedan; second, Muhammad Andika Perkasa; third, Ganjar Pranowo.

"I remind you, there are no less than three names, the value is the same, the qualifications are the same. Only the order is different, 1, 2, and 3," said Surya Paloh in front of tens of thousands of NasDem cadres.

According to him, only one of the three names will be designated as a presidential candidate from NasDem.

"If there were three presidential candidates, the chairman would not think about it anymore," he said.

Surya Paloh will soon determine a candidate for the president promoted by NasDem.

"God willing, we will set a time and place for us to look for good days and good months. For us there is nothing that will make us urgent, whatever our decision," he said.

According to him, NasDem cadres must continuously build the capabilities and strengths of cadres with two aspects at once, namely: first, hoping for the best; Second, prepare yourself for the worst

"This is the reality of life, we are still living in the reality of life, however our idealism that we want to strive for is still based on the reality of life that we have," said Surya Paloh.

The NasDem Party will also provide the best for the Indonesian people.

Previously, as reported by ANTARA, all regional leadership boards (DPW) had submitted recommendations for presidential candidates to the NasDem Central Leadership Council (DPP).

Anies received support from 32 DPW. Only DPW NasDem West Papua and East Kalimantan did not recommend Anies.

Central Java Governor Ganjar Pranowo received recommendations from 29 DPWs. The NasDem regional leaders who did not recommend Ganjar were East Kalimantan, Banten, South Kalimantan, North Maluku, and DKI Jakarta.

Recommendations were also given by DPW NasDem throughout Indonesia to a number of figures, including the Deputy Speaker of the DPR Rachmat Gobel who recommended 19 DPW, Minister of State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN) Erick Thohir recommended 15 DPW, and TNI Commander General Andika Perkasa recommended 10 DPW.
