PDIP Reminds Ministers In Jokowi-Ma'ruf Cabinet To Work Not For The Interests Of Candidates

JAKARTA - PDIP reminded the Ministers of the Advanced Indonesia Cabinet not to think about matters related to the 2024 Presidential Election (Pilpres). They must work with the interests of the nation and state.

This was conveyed by the Secretary-General of PDIP Hasto Kristiyanto in response to the cabinet reshuffle that had just been carried out by President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) on Wednesday, June 15 yesterday.

"Everything must move in the interest of the people of the nation and the state. Not for the interests of the presidential and vice-presidential candidates," Hasto told reporters in Jakarta, quoted on Friday, June 17.

All ministers, continued Hasto, must dedicate themselves to President Jokowi. Especially for the success of the reign which is only two years away.

"All ministers must be dedicated to President Jokowi to become presidential assistants and accelerate achievements so that the 2024 General Election is carried out in a situation of the revival of Greater Indonesia progress," he said.

As previously reported, President Jokowi inaugurated the Chairman of the National Mandate Party (PAN) Zulkifli Hasan at the State Palace on Wednesday, June 15 yesterday at the State Palace, Jakarta. He occupied the position of Minister of Trade replacing M Lutfi.

Apart from Zulhas, former TNI Commander Hadi Tjahjanto was also inaugurated as Minister of Agrarian Affairs and Spatial Planning/Head of the National Land Agency (ATR/BPN) replacing Sofyan Djalil.

Not only ministers, but Jokowi also inaugurated three deputy ministers. They are John Wempi Wetipo as Deputy Minister of Home Affairs, Afriansyah Noor as Deputy Minister of Manpower, and Raja Juli Antoni as Deputy Minister of Agrarian and Spatial Planning/National Land Agency (ATR/BPN).
