Due To Strong Winds, One Tree Falls And Hits Residents' Houses In Aceh

NAGAN RAYA - Officers from the Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) of Nagan Raya Regency, Aceh Province, handled a fallen tree that hit the roof of a house resident of Ujong Fatihah Village, Kuala District, due to strong winds.

"Thank God there were no casualties in this natural disaster," said Secretary of BPBD of Nagan Raya Regency Said Nazaruddin in Nagan Raya, Thursday, June 16 evening.

The roof of the house belonging to Burhanuddin, a resident of Ujong Fatihah Village, on Thursday (16/6) at midnight, was hit by a durian tree due to strong winds in the area.

He said there were no victims in the incident.

The Nagan Raya BPBD officer who received a report from the local community, then made efforts to handle the tree by cutting parts of the tree using a chainsaw.

Efforts to handle it are also carried out carefully by officers in the hope that the tree will not damage other parts of the local resident's house.

"Currently, we have also collected data on victims, in order to get further treatment from the local government," said Nazaruddin.
