Trade Minister M. Lutfi Predicted To Be Reshuffled, Possibly Replaced By Zulkifli Hasan

JAKARTA - The Executive Director of Indonesia Political Review, Ujang Komarudin, predicts that there will be a number of names that will be affected by a cabinet reshuffle or reshuffle today or Wednesday, June 15.

One of the names predicted to be affected by the reshuffle is Trade Minister Muhammad Lutfi. Ujang admitted that he received information that Lutfi would be replaced by the Chairman of the National Mandate Party (PAN) Zulkifli Hasan.

"I still have information that it looks like PAN, Zulhas, the general chairman of PAN, has entered the cabinet to replace Muhammad Lutfi," Ujang told VOI, Wednesday, June 15.

Not only that, but Ujang also predicts that other names will be reshuffled, such as Minister of ATR/BPN Sofyan Djalil. Meanwhile, those who were not previously in office could also enter the cabinet, such as former TNI Commander Hadi Tjahjanto.

"Well, it looks like they have been summoned today. There is M. Lutfi, there is Sofyan Djalil, Hadi Tjahjanto," he said.

M Lutfi and Sofyan Djalil have arrived at the Palace to meet President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) on Tuesday, June 14 yesterday. Likewise with Hadi Tjahjanto. However, they did not clearly explain the purpose of his arrival.

Back to Ujang, all the names he mentioned were just a prediction. President Jokowi will certainly look at a number of things, including issues of political interest.

Moreover, while he was in office, this cabinet reshuffle or reshuffle was also related to political issues.

"I think Mr. Jokowi will see two combinations, namely political interests and performance. Maybe the minister who is not good will be replaced," he said.

"But that goes back to the president. He is the one who knows better about cabinet tinkering," added Ujang.

Previously, it was reported that President Jokowi would reshuffle his cabinet on Wednesday, June 15, 2022. It is said that the National Mandate Party (PAN) will get one deputy ministerial seat and a big name will step down.

This has also been agreed by the chairman of the DPP PAN Bima Arya Sugiarto. He stated that his party was allocated one ministerial seat in the Advanced Indonesia Cabinet.

"We heard very strong information today, it is possible that a reshuffle will be implemented soon," Bima Arya told reporters in Jakarta, Tuesday, June 14.

"The information is that the ministerial position may get one," he added.

Meanwhile, Cabinet Secretary Pramono Anung believes that President Jokowi certainly knows his needs before reshuffling his cabinet. Moreover, the former governor of DKI Jakarta has served for eight years.

"The cabinet is the full authority of the president. The president has the prerogative. The president wants to change at any time, it's up to the president, today, tomorrow, the day after tomorrow, the authority is entirely with the president," said Pramono at the Presidential Palace in Jakarta, Tuesday 14 June.

"The president has been in this government for eight years, and he really knows what the needs of this cabinet are, so he knows very well," he continued.
