Police Detain 7 Brawl Actors, Three People Become Suspects

TANGERANG - A total of 7 people were arrested by the police for their alleged involvement in a brawl in the Negelasari area, Tangerang City, Sunday, June 12, early in the morning.

Head of Public Relations, Commissioner Adjutant Abdul Jana said of the 7 perpetrators who were arrested, three of them were named suspects. This happened because they were caught carrying sharp weapons (Sajam).

The three perpetrators had the initials RR (16), U (27), and MY (20).

"It is true that 7 have been arrested. (However) there are three people who have been named as suspects," Jana said in a short message, Tuesday, June 14.

Jana explained that the motive for the brawl was due to the perpetrator's revenge against his opponent. Because during the holy month of Ramadan, the children of Kampung Golun attacked him with firecrackers during sahur around.

"Because during the month of Ramadan, when village children like to take a bath, they wake up the saur around, but the children of Kampung Golun are attacked with firecrackers," he said.

In addition to securing the perpetrators, the police also found three pieces of evidence that allegedly belonged to the 3 people named by the suspects. For their actions, they were charged with Article 2 paragraph 1 of the Republic of Indonesia Law No. 12 of 1951 concerning sharp weapons.
