Entangled In Online Loans, Residents Of Duren Sawit Try To Commit Suicide In Mini Market Toilets

JAKARTA - A resident of Duren Sawit, East Jakarta, with initials KS (25), attempted suicide by cutting his veins. The reason is because he is in online loan debt.

"Based on the witness examination, the family concerned is in debt from an online loan application," said Head of Police Duren Sawit, AKP Rensa Aktadivia to VOI, Sunday, October 25.

The suicide attempt, said Rensa, was carried out by KS in the bathroom on the second floor of a mini market on Jalan Buaran Raya, Duren Sawit, East Jakarta, on Saturday, October 24 evening.

Initially, this young man bought a cutter at the mini market. Then, he headed for the second floor of the mini market with the excuse that he was going to pee.

But after a while, KS didn't come out of the bathroom. So, the mini market employees were suspicious and knocked on the bathroom door.

"There was no answer from the person concerned. Then, the bathroom door was smashed and the person concerned was found unconscious there," he said.

Then, the mini market employee contacted the police. Then KS was taken to the hospital for treatment.

"The person concerned can be saved and is currently still receiving treatment," he said.
