The Yellow Notice For Eril Is Officially Revoked, Like This Is The Process That Must Be Passed

JAKARTA - The Interpol Indonesia National Central Bureau (NCB) Secretariat has sent a letter requesting the revocation of the Yellow Notice on behalf of Emmeril Khan Mumtadz, Ridwan Kamil's eldest son, who was found dead on Wednesday, June 8 in Bern.

Secretary of the National Police Interpol NCB Brigadier General Amur Chandra said in fact the Yellow Notice will be closed when the object of the search has been found.

"Yes, in fact, because the victim has been found, the Yellow Notice will no longer be needed. But administratively it needs to be followed up officially from the Police," said Amur, when confirmed in Jakarta, Monday, June 13.

According to Amur, the party will write to the Interpol Headquarters in Lyon, France, to close the Yellow Notice.

This effort was made after it was previously confirmed that the body of Eril, as Emmeril is familiarly called, had been confirmed to be found.

"Because we will immediately send it with the fact that the letter has been found, because the answers from the Swiss Police, Swiss Interpol, we have also received that (Eril) has indeed been found," explained Amur.

After the information was obtained, continued Amur, the NCB Interpol Police Secretariat followed up with a letter to retract the Yellow Notice for the purposes of orderly administration.

"Formally we have spoken, they (Swiss police) have also been able to cooperate with us. So for orderly administration, we will follow up on working days (Monday)," he said.

Amur added that this Monday his party wrote a letter to the Interpol Headquarters in Lyon, France to revoke Eril's Yellow Notice.

"Yes, Monday we will send for cancellation, change the request for Yellow Notice," said Amur.

Eril's body has arrived in Indonesia, landing at Soekarno-Hatta Airport on Sunday (12/6) at around 15.00 WIB.

The arrival of the body was welcomed by the family and a number of ministers, such as Minister of SOEs Erick Thohir and Minister of State Secretary Pratikno.

The family brought the body to be buried at the West Java Governor's Office House, Pakuan Building, arriving at around 19:00 WIB. Then the funeral prayer was carried out which was led by the father, Ridwan Kamil.

Monday morning, Erik's body will be buried in his mother's hometown, Athalia Praratya, in Cimaung, Bandung Regency.

On Wednesday (8/6) local time, the Swiss Police released the findings of the bodies of Indonesian citizens (WNI) trapped in the Engehalde Dam, Switzerland.

After conducting forensic tests and DNA tests, it was confirmed that the 22-year-old man's body was Eril's.

Eril was declared missing while swimming in the Aare River, Bern, Switzerland, on Thursday, May 26, 2022. According to a local police statement, the 22-year-old youth experienced an emergency situation while swimming in the river.
