Long Holiday, PT KAI Daop 1 Jakarta Operates 27 Long-Distance Train Departures

JAKARTA - PT Kereta Api Indonesia (KAI) Daop 1 Jakarta has increased the number of Long-Distance Train (KAJJ) trips during the long holiday week from 27 October to 1 November 2020. Total trains operated are 27 departures.

During the period of a long holiday to commemorate the birthday of the Prophet Muhammad SAW which was followed by the determination of joint leave by the Government. PT KAI Daop 1 Jakarta will operate train trips from Gambir Station, Pasar Senen Station, and Jakarta Kota Station.

"The increase in the number of trips is done to support the increase in passenger volume during the long holiday," said Eva Chairunisa, Head of Public Relations of PT KAI Daop 1 Jakarta, in a statement on Saturday, October 24.

The recorded data shows that ticket bookings per October 23, 2020 show that the highest number of departures occurs before the long holiday moment, Tuesday, October 27, 2020, around 5,816 passengers. This data is still subject to change considering that there may still be additional passengers who make reservations or buy go show tickets three hours before departure for 27 October to 1 November 2020.

"The average number of passengers per day during the long holiday has almost doubled compared to last week's weekend on Friday, October 16, 2020, which was 2,876 passengers with a total of 18 trains operated for departures from the PT KAI Daop area. 1 Jakarta, "he said.

Eva ensured that even though there were additional train trips and an increase in passenger volume, PT KAI Daop 1 Jakarta was consistent in implementing Covid-19 prevention procedures both in the station area and during the trip. For example, the maximum passenger occupancy restriction is 70 percent of normal conditions.

Including health protocols for passengers, including showing a Covid-19 free letter (PCR / Rapid Test) that is still valid (14 days from publication), prospective passengers are in good health, body temperature is not more than 37.3 degrees Celsius, using a personal mask and wearing the faceshield provided by KAI.

"Examination of passenger health conditions is not only carried out at the station, along the way, officers will also periodically check the passenger's body temperature," he explained.
