Moving The South Kalimantan Police Headquarters From Banjarmasin To Banjarbaru Starting In 2023

BANJARMASIN - The South Kalimantan Regional Police Command Headquarters will be moved from Banjarmasin to Banjarbaru in stages starting in 2023 after the construction of the building is completed by the end of this year.

"At the end of November 2022, the command headquarters were only 100 percent completed, so next year the relocation will begin," said South Kalimantan Police Chief Inspector General Rikwanto, in Banjarmasin, quoted by Antara, Friday, June 10.

For now, according to the report from the project implementing contractor, the construction of the South Kalimantan Police Headquarters has only reached 7.9 percent. This achievement is in accordance with the plan for the implementation of physical development for 270 working days from March 28, 2022 to December 19, 2022.

He hoped that the construction of the new South Kalimantan Police Headquarters could be completed according to plan with the quality of the work, both exterior and interior, which had been conceptualized from the start.

Rikwanto admits that the South Kalimantan Police Command Headquarters in Banjarbaru will be much better than the current Police Headquarters in Banjarmasin, so that it becomes a legacy for the next generation to survive decades later.

The construction of the South Kalimantan Police Command Headquarters building, which is located on Jalan Darma Praja Timur, Sungai Tiung Village, Cempaka District, Banjarbaru City, is worth Rp. 131 billion.

The plan is that the South Kalimantan Police Headquarters, on Jalan S Parman, Banjarmasin, will now be used as the Banjarmasin Police Headquarters and the location left by the Banjarmasin Police Command Headquarters for the development of the Bhayangkara Banjarmasin Hospital which is next to it.
