President Jokowi Kunker To Wakatobi Southeast Sulawesi, TNI-Polri Apple Held Troops

KENDARI - Thousands of joint TNI-Polri personnel in Southeast Sulawesi held a troop deployment in the context of securing President Joko Widodo, who is scheduled to make a working visit to Wakatobi Regency, Thursday, June 9.

Commander of Korem 143/Haluoleo Brigadier General Arin Yufti Senjaya while reading the mandate of Pangdam XIV/Hasanuddin Major General TNI Andi Muhammad said the troop deployment was aimed at seeing firsthand the readiness of the TNI-Polri and other elements who will be tasked with securing the President's working visit.

"Checking the readiness of troops like this is very important to support the readiness of our shared duties and responsibilities so that we can carry out all tasks optimally," said Danrem 143/HO as reported by Antara, Wednesday, June 8.

The deployment of the troops is carried out with the hope that all of President Jokowi's agenda during his visit to this area can be carried out safely, orderly and smoothly.

Danrem said all TNI-Polri soldiers and other VVIP security support task forces must actually carry out their respective duties with a full sense of responsibility.

Therefore, continued Danrem, all elements directly involved in securing VVIP must really maximize preparations for the smooth running of the Indonesian President's working visit in Southeast Sulawesi," he said.

"Security must be perfect, there should be no procedural errors and there should be no negligence and miscommunication between security units," he emphasized.

Kasiops Korem 143/Haluoleo Lt. Col. Inf. Rizal said the total number of joint personnel involved in securing the arrival of the President in Southeast Sulawesi was 4,500 people, with details in Kendari City 1,500 and in Wakatobi 3,500 personnel.

"What is clear is that the president must be safe, successful, orderly, there is nothing, but it does not reduce the President's closeness to the community. There is no anticipation, let the President be close to the people but with limits according to security rules," he emphasized. .

President Joko Widodo and First Lady Iriana Widodo are scheduled to visit Wakatobi Regency to attend the Agrarian Reform Task Force (GTRA) Summit Wakatobi 2022 on Thursday (9/6).
