West Java Golkar DPD: What Is The Lack Of Airlangga Hartarto Compared To Other Presidential Candidates?

JAKARTA - The West Java Golkar Party DPD is targeting victory in the 2024 General Election, both in the presidential, legislative and regional elections. West Java's Golkar also wants its general chairman, Airlangga Hartarto, to run as a presidential candidate in the upcoming presidential election.

"Airlangga Hartarto must become president of the Republic of Indonesia in 2024," said West Java Golkar DPD Chairperson, Ace Hasan Syadzily, in his remarks at the inauguration of the West Java Golkar Party management and Working Meeting at SICC, Bogor, Friday, June 3.

According to Ace, the triumph of the Golkar Party was when the president became a presidential candidate and won. Therefore, he encouraged banyan cadres in West Java to strive to achieve this target.

"I conveyed in various meetings with cadres, the struggle to make Pak Ketum to become president is the dignity and dignity of the Golkar Party," said the Golkar legislator for the West Java electoral district.

Ace then asked about Airlangga's shortcomings compared to presidential candidates who had been circulating in the mass media. Because according to him, Airlangga's competence and experience in the government is enough to be his capital to lead Indonesia in the future.

"What is the lack of our general chairman compared to the names of presidential candidates that have been circulating in the mass media? In terms of competence, in terms of capacity, technocracy, in terms of experience, there is no reason for us not to fight for him to become president of the Republic of Indonesia," said Ace.

Ace emphasized that it was time for the Golkar Party to bring its own cadres to contest the presidential election. According to him, it's useless to fight for other party cadres.

"I conveyed that the Golkar Party is fighting for its own cadres. But, the cadres of other parties are making fun of it, you know it's a joke? It means that it's useless, ladies and gentlemen," said Ace.

"Our experience in several presidential elections is that if we support other party cadres, the party that will benefit is the presidential candidate, right?," he added.
