Ex-Yogyakarta Mayor Haryadi Suyuti Examined KPK Marathon Since June 2

JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) said that all parties, including former Yogyakarta Mayor Haryadi Suyuti, who was caught in the sting operation (OTT) on Thursday, June 2, were still being investigated.

This intensive examination was carried out after they were taken to the KPK's Red and White Building in Kuningan Persada, South Jakarta last night.

"Currently, the parties are still being investigated at the KPK's Red and White Building in Jakarta," Acting KPK Spokesperson for Enforcement Affairs Ali Fikri told reporters, Friday, June 3.

Ali then explained that there were nine people who were secured by the KPK team in the OTT which was held in the Yogyakarta and Jakarta areas. However, he did not elaborate further on who they were.

"It consists of private elements and several Yogyakarta City Government officials, including the Mayor for the 2017-2022 period," he said.

As previously reported, the KPK carried out an OTT and arrested Hariyadi Suyuti, who just finished his term of office on May 22. It is suspected that bribery took place during the silent operation.

However, the anti-corruption commission has not yet detailed the chronology of the alleged bribery. However, Deputy Chairperson of the KPK, Nurul Ghufron, said that during the OTT, evidence was found in the form of documents and money in United States dollar denominations, the amount of which was still being counted.

Currently, the KPK has 1x24 hours to determine the legal status of the parties caught in the OTT. They will later announce the chronology and who the suspects are through a press conference.
