Supporting Electric Vehicles, SIER Signs MoU For SPKLU Development

SURABAYA - PT Surabaya Industrial Estate Rungkut (SIER) is hosting the Coordination Meeting of the Indonesian Industrial Estate Association (HKI).

The event, which was attended by 75 industrial companies in Indonesia, was also signed by the MoU for the construction of the Public Electric Vehicle Charging Station (SPKLU).

Prior to the MoU, the General Chair of Indonesian HKI, Sanny Iskandar, said that current industrial developments tend to be oriented to two things, namely smart and green. Smart relates to digital transformation, the use of information technology and green relates to the use of green energy.

"I hope this coordination meeting will discuss the existing problems. Then later it will be formulated which are the priorities and become the scale of work so that later they are fought for into regulations and policies. For that, we ask for inputs from all industrial estate managers in Indonesia ," said Sanny, Thursday, June 2.

Meanwhile, the President Director of PT SIER, Fattah Hidayat, in his remarks congratulated and hoped that this event would go well and produce a better formulation of the arrangement of industrial estates in the future.

"The chairman of HKI, Mr. Sanny, was already traveling to SIER. He said he was proud to see SIER developing an industrial area with green energy, one of which is solar roof panels in the context of renewable energy efficiency. On behalf of SIER, I would like to welcome you and welcome to the coordination meeting, " he said.

Meanwhile, on the sidelines of the opening of the HKI Coordination Meeting, a memorandum of understanding of cooperation or MoU (memorandum of understanding) development of the SPKLU (General Electric Vehicle Charging Station) was signed between PT SIER and PT Optima Integra Tehnika by the Marketing and Development Director of PT SIER, Silvester Budi Agung and Deputy Director of PT Optima Integra Tehnika, Amir Bachrun.

According to PT SIER's Director of Operations, Didik Prasetiyono, technological change towards battery-based vehicles is inevitable, SPKLU is one of the necessary infrastructures in this energy landscape.

Moreover, the government has issued a regulation related to electricity charging infrastructure for Battery-Based Electric Motorized Vehicles (KBLBB), which provides convenience for SPKLU investment.

"Increasing the adoption of electric vehicles in East Java is also one of PT SIER's considerations in providing SPKLU facilities at SIER. Almost all countries in Europe and America have already shifted to battery-powered vehicles, in the future electric vehicles can be economical if the infrastructure supports it," he said. Didik, in his presentation about SIER in front of the HKI Working Meeting participants.

This alumnus of the Faculty of Business Economics, Universitas Airlangga (FEB Unair) said that in developing SIER as a green, modern and integrated area, both SIER and PIER (Pasuruan Industrial Estate Rembang) are keen to develop eco industrial park infrastructure.

"There are several renewable energy commitments that we have made, such as integrated waste water treatment, recycling of effluent water into industrial water, the development of roof solar panels and the construction of the SPKLU, which has just signed a collaboration," he said.

For the construction of solar panels, continued Didik, SIER through SIER Energy seeks to provide and use new and renewable energy (EBT). This is in line with the country's commitments contained in the G-20 agreement on the General Plan for the Provision of Electricity (RUPTL) 2021-2030.

Where the portion of NRE power generation is projected to reach 51.6 percent or higher than fossil generators.

"Currently, through SIER Energy, PT SIER is implementing the initial solar panel roofing in three locations. Namely at SIER, IPAL SIER, and IPAL PIER with a capacity of up to 430 kWp. We invite tenants to join in the implementation of EBT solar panels. management and costs will be more economical," he said.
