JAKARTA Not only relying on J7, JAECOO Indonesia is ready to present other model lines to greet the national automotive market. This time it is JAECOO J8's turn, a premium SUV that carries luxury, performance, and advanced technology that is ready to compete in its segment.

Ahead of its official launch next month, JAECOO Indonesia invited media crews, including the VOI team, to try out the new SUV directly in a test drive session that took place in Sentul, West Java. Interestingly, testing is carried out on two terrains at once: onroad and offroad.

Convincing Offroad Driving Sensation

From the start on the off-road track, JAECOO J8 immediately showed its heading. This car is equipped with an intelligent Active CDC (Continuous Damping Control) system, capable of adjusting the suspension character in real time following the road surface conditions. As a result, even though you have to face rough terrain, the comfort is maintained and the vibrations that enter the cabin feel minimal.

Other flagship features are Smart AWD, 4WD Vectoring, and seven driving modes that allow power distribution to be adjusted automatically depending on road conditions. In normal situations, cars prioritize energy efficiency by driving the front wheels. But when facing steep inclines or puddles, the advanced ARDIS (All Road Drive Intelligent System) system will activate four-wheel drive to maintain traction and stability.

Entering the cabin, a luxurious feel is immediately felt through Nappa's leather coating. The seat captain in the second row is equipped with massage, ventilation, and heating features, providing a premium driving experience like a high-end SUV.

The dashboard display is modern, minimalist but classy. The features of infotainment and vehicle control are regulated intuitively through a responsive touch screen, creating a futuristic impression without sacrificing comfort.

An exterior with a Land Rover Touch

On an external appearance, JAECOO J8 has strong design DNA. The body line is firm, the silhouette is dashing, and the front grip gives a luxurious and tough impression. No wonder many call this car inspired by the Velar Land Rover, both in terms of proportion and the aura of luxury that is displayed.

Machine Performance: Powered And Responsive

Behind his hood, J8 carries a 2,000 cc turbo gasoline engine capable of generating up to 245 dk of power and a peak torque of 385 Nm. Despite being large, this SUV is capable of accelerating from 0100 km/hour in just 9 seconds' impressive numbers for cars in its class.
