Umrah To The Holy Land, Mrs. Maharani Pray For Prosperous Indonesian People

JAKARTA - Chairperson of the Indonesian House of Representatives, Puan Maharani, performs Umrah in Mecca, Tuesday, June 2. The day before, Puan was also caught visiting the International Museum of the History of the Prophet Muhammad in Madinah Al-Munawwaro.

During her worship in the holy land, Puan prayed that all Indonesian people would be given prosperity. The chairman of the PDIP DPP also prayed that the Indonesian people would be protected from all kinds of dangers.

"Mrs. Puan especially prays for the Indonesian people to always be given prosperity, health and always in the protection of Allah SWT," said Deputy Secretary General of MUI, Habib Dr. Ali Bahar, who was the Umrah guide, Wednesday, June 1.

Habib Ali Bahar said, Puan performed tawaf around the Kaaba on Tuesday afternoon local time. "Umrah is performed ba'da Asr so that he can perform the Maghrib and Isha prayers at the same time in a position parallel to the corner of the Black Stone," he said.

Furthermore, Habib Ali Bahar explained, on the way from Medina to Mecca, Puan used the Haramain Express fast train. The fast train cuts the travel time for Umrah pilgrims on the Medina-Makkah journey, and vice versa.

Where, usually the Mecca train station is 4 kilometers from the Grand Mosque it takes about five to 6 hours.

"Mrs. Puan wants to try taking the Medina-Makkah high-speed train which only takes 2 hours and 20 minutes," Ali explained.

As is known, Puan Maharani was invited by the Muslim World League to visit the International Museum of the History of the Prophet Muhammad in Medina on Monday, 30 May.

In Indonesia, the International Museum of the History of the Prophet Muhammad SAW will also be built, which is currently still under construction. The establishment of the Prophet Muhammad Museum in Indonesia is a collaboration between the World Muslim League and the Foundation for the History of the Prophet Muhammad, the Indonesian Mosque Council (DMI).

All scientific material that will be displayed and translated at the International Museum of the History of the Prophet Muhammad SAW in Jakarta has the support of Al-Azhar Egypt.

Indonesia became the first choice of the Muslim World League in the construction of the Prophet Muhammad Museum from 25 countries that submitted applications. The World Muslim League is of the view that Indonesia is an example and a model that the world should know about in terms of tolerance for social life.

"Indonesia as a country with the largest Muslim population in the world is also Islamic wasatiyyat (moderate) and Indonesia can be used as an example of unity in diversity," said the President Director of the International Exhibition and Museum of the History of the Prophet Muhammad and Islamic Civilization, Sheikh Dr. Yahya Atiyah Al-Kinany when he met Puan.
