JAKARTA - Member of the Joint Fact-Finding Team (TGPF) for the Intan Jaya Shooting Case, Bambang Purwoko, who was shot in the ambush and shooting incident said that he was in a better condition. He or she can still contribute to team discussions remotely at the care center.

"I feel proud to be lucky to be part of the team, and feel happy to be able to join, interact and discuss with fathers from various backgrounds; government, society, and academia. It is a pleasure to be with individuals full of integrity who work with diligence, honesty and sincerity, ”said Bambang in a statement received by VOI, in Jakarta, Wednesday, October 21.

Bambang Purwoko is a representative from academia, he is a lecturer from Gadjah Mada University, Yogyakarta. He is a researcher and observer of Papua who helps the people of Papua a lot. In fact, he has foster children from Papua.

Bambang was shot when the team was on the slope of Wawogopone, Mamba Village, Sugapa District, Intan Jaya, on his way back from the Hitadipa TKP. He was shot in the leg and hand. Currently, Bambang is still being treated at the Gatot Soebroto Army Hospital. His condition is normal and in the process of recovery.

He explained, because of the incident that happened to him, he could not take part in an intense discussion in formulating the results of the investigation, but as vigorously as possible he still gave points of thought through the team discussion group in the conversation group.

“After 9 days of going through turbulence physically, spiritually and physically, now it is getting better and better. I am fortunate that in this incident there was a quick evacuation and tight security, now being treated by the best medical personnel with the best facilities for healing, "said Bambang.

Bambang also did not forget to thank the Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal and Security Affairs for giving him confidence to join the team. He also appreciated the government's efforts and attention while undergoing treatment at the hospital.

The field investigation team itself has completed the task given by the government by working 17 days. The head of TGPF Intan Jaya Benny Mamoto will submit the results of the investigation to the Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal and Security Affairs, Mahfud MD on Wednesday, October 21.
