Blocking Fake Websites For Formula E Ticket Sellers, Committee Urges The Public To Be More Vigilant

JAKARTA - The committee that organizes Formula E appeals to the public to be aware of fake websites that are very similar to the official website.

Vice Managing Director of Formula E Jakarta, Gunung Kartiko said his party had reported the Ministry of Communication and Information (Kemenkominfo) to block the fake sites.

"We have reported several fake websites to the Ministry of Communication and Information, this has happened twice," Gunung told reporters at the Pulman Hotel, Central Jakarta, Sunday, May 29.

He suspects that many people are still trying to access fake sites that have been blocked. As a result, many netizens complained that the Formula E ticket sales site could not be accessed.

"We see on social media that many people say that tickets run out and cannot enter, errors and others, maybe that was the phishing thing, we have reported it to the police," he concluded.

He appealed to the public to only buy Formula E tickets on the official website https://jakartaeprix.goersapp.com.
