JAKARTA - A number of schools in Banyumas Regency, Central Java, are implementing face-to-face learning trials by strictly implementing the COVID-19 prevention health protocol.

One school that is implementing face-to-face learning trials is SMP Negeri 6 Purwokerto. Every student who comes to take part in teaching and learning activities is required to wear a mask.

Before entering the classroom, they must wash their hands using soap and running water in the space provided and undergo a body temperature check and be recorded by the teacher.

Furthermore, they take part in the PTM in a predetermined class room with participants totaling 50 percent of the total study groups in each room.

"Yesterday we checked the preparations from the Education Office here, today (October 20) will start face-to-face. As scheduled, on Tuesday the 8th grade, seven classes are divided into 14 classes. So 50 percent per class of the study group," said the Head of SMP. Negeri 6 Purwokerto Sri Indarsih reported by Antara, Tuesday, October 20.

Furthermore, on Wednesday, October 21, PTM trials for grade 9, Thursday class 7, Friday grade 8, and Saturday grade 9.

Meanwhile, for the duration of learning, he continued, it starts at 07.00 WIB until 11.00 WIB and there is a break for 15 minutes to give the children the opportunity to enjoy the food and drinks they bring from home while still being supervised by the teacher on duty during the third lesson. .

"They are not allowed to go out (class). Later when they go home or there is an interest to go to the toilet, to the library, there is a kind of necklace that (shows) permission to leave," he said.

He said that during the PTM, the children did not use the table as suggested by the Banyumas Regent, Achmad Husein.

Nevertheless, Indarsih said that his party would evaluate this after the PTM trial was carried out.

"Every day we will continue to evaluate what is lacking in the future to be improved," he said.

He said based on information from the Banyumas Regency Education Office, in addition to SMP Negeri 6 Purwokerto, there are two other schools that are also conducting PTM trials, namely SD Negeri Panembangan and SMA Negeri 3 Purwokerto.
