Gerindra Central Sulawesi Asks Cadres In The DPR To Fight For The Tomini-Moutong DOB

PARIGI - Central Sulawesi Gerindra Party DPD chairman Longki Djanggola asked cadres in the DPR from this provincial electoral district to fight for the expansion of the Tomini and Moutong New Autonomous Regions (DOB) which are now integrated into Parigi Moutong Regency.

"It so happens that our cadre is the Chairman of the Legislative Body of the DPR RI, Supratman Andi Agtas, so I entrust this message to be fought for through the initiative of the DPR RI," said Longki after meeting with the Academic Drafting Team for the Bill on the Expansion of Parigi Moutong in Parigi, quoted by Antara, Tuesday, May 24.

According to him, the presence of the DPR Team is to provide new hope for the people's struggle regarding the expansion of the new autonomous regions, considering that the district is quite long with a coastline of approximately 472 kilometers because until now the president is still holding a memorandum of new autonomous regions.

To realize the struggle, he said, political support became an important part that was pushed through the DPR's right of initiative.

"We hope that the technical team that comes to Parigi Moutong will be the representative of the Legislative Council of the Republic of Indonesia," said the former Governor of Central Sulawesi for two terms.

He hoped that the technical team would provide reinforcement and valid information on the figures and people of Parigi Moutong regarding the current situation of the new autonomous regions so that this visit would not give the impression of "lure".

Usually, he said, the determination of a political policy through a plenary session, including the DPR's right of initiative.

"This needs to be conveyed by the DPR RI Technical Team to the public, whether the right to this initiative has gone through the process or is it still just a discourse," said Longki.

He asked the public not to be too euphoric because the process for the success of the new autonomous region struggle is still long.

"Let's obey and obey the rules, and wait for the central government's policy. We hope this struggle can be achieved in the end," said Longki.
