Rumored To Be On The Exchange Of Acting Governor Of DKI, Regional Secretary Has Little Words: I'm Just A Civil Servant

JAKARTA - DKI Jakarta Regional Secretary, Marullah, was efficient in speaking in response to his name being included in the stock exchange for candidates for the Acting (Pj) Governor of DKI Jakarta who will lead the capital city until the 2024 General Election.

"I don't know," said Marullah to reporters, Monday, May 23.

The former mayor of South Jakarta admitted that he did not think about the appointment of the Acting President, which was decided by President Joko Widodo in October.

Marullah also did not want to respond to the question of being ready or not if he was appointed as Acting Officer. "There are no words (ready or not). I'm just a civil servant. I just follow," said Marullah.

For information, recently there have been three names circulating that have been rumored to be elected as Acting Governor of DKI Jakarta.

They are the Head of the Presidential Secretariat Heru Budi Hartono, the Chairman of the DKI Jakarta Provincial General Election Commission for the period 2008-2013 Juri Ardiantoro, and the Regional Secretary for the DKI Jakarta Province, Marullah Matali.

Meanwhile, Marullah, who has a career as an employee of the DKI Provincial Government, has filled various positions, as staff of the DKI Jakarta Provincial Mental Spiritual Development Bureau, Head of the Mental Institution Development Section of the DKI Jakarta Bintal and Social Welfare Service, and the Section Head of the DKI Jakarta Bintal and Social Welfare Service.

DKI Jakarta Social Affairs, Head of the Secretariat of the DKI Jakarta Provincial Social Service, and Head of the DKI Jakarta Provincial Education and Mental Bureau.

Prior to serving as Mayor of South Jakarta, Marullah served as Assistant to the Deputy Governor of DKI Jakarta Province for Tourism and Assistant to the Deputy Governor of DKI Jakarta Province for Population Control.

On January 18, 2021, Marullah Matali replaced Sri Haryati, who became the acting Regional Secretary of the DKI Jakarta Province after the DKI Jakarta Secretary Saefullah died, and has served until now.
