South Tapanuli Police Holds Simulation Of Forest Fire Management

MEDAN - South Tapanuli (Tapsel) Police held a coordination meeting ahead of the implementation of the apple and a simulation of forest and land fire management (Karhutla) which will be carried out by the local Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPPD).

"From this coordination meeting, the South Tapanuli BPBD will contact other relevant agencies to facilitate the implementation of the rally and the forest and land fire simulation," said South Tapanuli Police Chief AKBP Roman S Elhaj, in a written statement, Sunday, May 22.

He said the coordination meeting would be held by involving all other relevant agencies in the South Tapanuli Regency.

Regarding the timing and implementation of the coordination meeting, it will be determined further.

"For the smooth running of the apple procession and the simulation of forest and land fires, BPPD Tapsel will prepare the necessary logistics," he said as quoted by Antara.

The Chief of Police hopes that the implementation of the apple and forest fire simulation will run smoothly and under control.

The coordination meeting was held at the South Tapanuli BPBD Office in Kilang Papan Village, Sipirok District, South Tapanuli Regency, North Sumatra.

Present at the event, Head of South Tapanuli Police Samapta AKP Harun, Head of Prevention and Preparedness of BPBD Tapsel Handi Pebrial, and Head of Emergency and Logistics of BPBD Tapsel Hotmatua Rambe.
