NTT Governor Reminds Regent Of Lembata To Discipline ASN

KUPANG - East Nusa Tenggara Governor Viktor Bungtilu Laiskodat reminded the Acting Regent of Lembata Marsianus Djawa to discipline the state civil apparatus (ASN) in carrying out government duties in the area.

"According to the direction of the Governor of NTT Viktor Bungtilu Laiskodat so that in the first 100 days after becoming the Acting Regent of Lembata, the main task I have to do is to discipline the ASN who have not been disciplined in carrying out their duties," said Acting Regent of Lembata Marsianus Djawa to reporters in Kupang, quoted by Antara. He said that there were four things that were being done in Lembata in accordance with the direction of the Governor of NTT Viktor Bungtilu Laiskodat, namely the enforcement of ASN discipline so that employees were more disciplined, structuring urban areas, the problem of stunting, and the cleanliness of the office environment.

He said the public's trust in the state civil apparatus needed to be restored immediately, including in the recovery of the psychological condition of the ASN who had been feeling pressured due to various factors.

"We have to restore that condition, maybe there are those who feel pressured so it must be restored that they are present in government for the benefit of the community. Leaders must dare to do that to restore the conditions experienced by ASN. ASN conditions in Lembata must begin to change if there is something we lack tidy up," he stressed. However, he said, ASN who are not disciplined will certainly be given strict sanctions so that no ASN works according to their own wishes.

He explained that the issue of employee discipline is the main thing that all employees must be diligent so that government activities run successfully.

"Cleanliness of the office environment is the main thing, all toilets in the office must be clean so that the work atmosphere becomes comfortable," he said.

In addition, he said, the construction of street lights and the arrangement of urban areas must be a concern so that Lewoleba as the capital of Lembata Regency can become more beautiful.
