Detained, Two Police Generals Do Not Wear The Prosecutor's Vest

JAKARTA - Inspector General Napoleon Bonaparte and Brigadier General Prasetyo Utomo were detained at the Salemba detention center (Rutan), the National Police's Criminal Investigation Unit, Friday, October 16. Both are currently detained by the Attorney General's Office following the transfer of the investigation files.

However, when they arrived at the Bareskrim Polri building, the two were observed not wearing the pink colored attorney's clothes. Even before the delegation, both of them wore orange Bareskrim prison vests.

Based on the monitoring of the VOI team, they arrived at the Police Criminal Investigation Unit at around 14.45 WIB. The two of them boarded the prosecutor's detention car.

Brigadier General Prasetyo got out of the car first and was followed by Inspector General Napoleon later. They were closely guarded by Provost officers.

Neither of them gave any comments regarding this detention. They were immediately led to the detention room on the 15th floor of the Police Criminal Investigation Unit building.

Previously, Bareskrim Polri had submitted the investigation file and suspect or P21 stage two on the alleged bribery case for the removal of red notice Joko Tjandra to the Prosecutor's Office.

The suspects who were handed over to the AGO for immediate trial include Joko Tjandra, Inspector General Napoleon Bonaparte, Brigadier General Prasetyo Utomo, and Tommy Sumardi.

"Indeed it is administratively handed over to the South Jakarta District Prosecutor's Office because the locus tempus is in the southern region," said Head of the South Jakarta District Attorney, Anang Supriatna, to reporters, Friday, October 16.

For now, only Joko Tjandra has been transferred to the Central Jakarta District Prosecutor's Office. Because, he was caught in another matter.

Meanwhile, Napoleon and Presetyo were again delegated to serve detention at the Salemba detention center, the Bareskrim branch. Meanwhile, Tommy Sumardi was detained at the Salemba prison branch of the South Jakarta District Prosecutor's Office.

After the delegation of phase 2 has been completed, the Prosecutor will prepare an indictment in the case. This case will be investigated at the Central Jakarta District Court.

"In the next 14 days, the public prosecutor will immediately delegate it to court because there is a deadline too," he said.

In this case Inspector General Napoleon Bonaparte and Brigadier General Prasetyo Utomo were named as suspects because they were suspected of being the recipients of bribes for the removal of red notice.

Both of them were charged with Article 5 Paragraph 2, Article 11 and Article 12 letters a and b of Law Number 20 of 2020 concerning Corruption (Tipikor) in conjunction with Article 55 of the Criminal Code.
