AGAM - An estuarine crocodile or Crocodylus porosus rises to the mainland behind SDN 12 Pasia Paneh, Nagari Tiku Selatan, Tanjungmutiara District, Agam Regency, West Sumatra.

Acting Head of the Agam Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD), Rinaldi said the information was obtained from local residents through the video he sent.

"The 2.5 meter long crocodile was seen sleeping behind SDN 12 Pasia Paneh," he said, quoted by Antara, Friday, May 20.

In the recording, residents were restless with the presence of the estuarine crocodile. This is because the students are quite busy and the crocodile is not far from SDN 12 Pasia Paneh.

BPBD coordinates with the Natural Resources Conservation Center (BKSDA) of Maninjau Resort.

"I have contacted the Maninjau Resort BKSDA to address the complaint," he said.

He appealed to students and residents in the area not to approach the location of the crocodile's presence, because it was a risk to safety.

In addition, do not carry out activities along the river in Tanjungmutiara District, because that area is a habitat for crocodiles.

"Don't bathe in the river or do other activities, because the crocodiles feel disturbed," he said.
