JAKARTA - The Jakarta Metro Police arrested a foreign citizen (WNA) from Latvia with the initials RM (46). This arrest is related to the theft of bank customer funds using skimming mode.

"Yes, that's right, we have arrested the perpetrator and are currently undergoing an intensive examination," said Head of Sub-Directorate of Resmob AKBP Handik Zusen when confirmed, Friday, May 20.

This Latvian citizen was arrested at his hiding place in the Beji area, Depok, West Java, on Thursday, May 19.

This arrest was based on a police report (LP) made by a bank which is often the target of the suspect. From that report, investigations and investigations were carried out.

"Investigating and processing crime scenes, observing and taking CCTV in several locations," he said.

Until finally, the identity of the suspect was revealed and a manhunt was immediately carried out. However, this suspect had moved from place to place to avoid officers.

"The perpetrator had to move around several times until he was finally caught," said Handik.

Although this Latvian foreigner has been arrested, the police are still developing the case. The goal is to find information whether there are groups that help him.

"The perpetrators are still undergoing further investigations and investigations to determine whether the perpetrators acted alone or in groups," said Handik.
