Last Day Of Work, Febri Diansyah Was Asked, "Don't You Regret Leaving The KPK?"

JAKARTA - Head of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) Public Relations Bureau Febri Diansyah received a question from his colleague on his last day working at the KPK. The former KPK spokesman was asked whether he was sorry or not he left the KPK after the DPR approved the official car budget for the leadership, supervisory board and officials at the KPK.

"There were also friends who joked and said, 'Aren't you sorry you left the KPK, Feb. Next year officials at the KPK, including the Head of the Bureau, will get an official car?'" He said via text message, Friday, October 16.

Febri did not answer when his colleague teased him. "I just smile in response to this," he said.

Febri explained that he had completed a number of obligations, such as reporting LHKPN at the end of his term of office, working meetings until the third quarter of 2020, and returning library books.

"Several other obligations are being completed today," he said.

After leaving the KPK, Febri hoped that the KPK could be loved by the public again for working seriously in eradicating corruption and benefiting society. He also hopes that the surviving employees can make efforts to eradicate corruption.

"Hopefully they will be given physical and mental strength," said Febri.

Febri Diansyah previously submitted his resignation letter to a resignation letter to the KPK leadership, the KPK Secretary General, and the KPK HR Bureau on 18 September.

The reason for his resignation was because the conditions of the KPK had changed after the revision of the KPK Law Number 19 of 2019 was enacted.

"Political and legal conditions have changed for the KPK. After undergoing this new situation for about eleven months, I decided on this path, choosing to submit my resignation from the institution that I love so much, the KPK," he wrote in the resignation letter.
