JAKARTA - The Traffic Directorate of Polda Metro Jaya is preparing engineering to divert traffic flows around the State Palace and the Cempaka Putih Simpang, on Thursday, October 15

The diversion of traffic flow was carried out to anticipate the accumulation of vehicles in the aftermath of the demonstration against the Job Creation Act carried out by the Jakarta Labor Movement (GBJ).

"Yes, we have prepared traffic engineering at several points. But the enforcement is situational," said Traffic Director of Polda Metro Jaya Kombes Sambodo Purnomo Yogo to VOI, Thursday, October 15.

The traffic flow scheme will be implemented during 15 and 16 October. For the diversion of traffic flow around the State Palace still uses the same scheme.

"The scheme at the Palace is the same as before, but we also focus on the Cempaka Putih intersection," he said.

To divert the flow at the Cempaka Putih Simpang, the flow of vehicles from the direction of Cawang or Jalan Perintis Kemerdekaan will be directed to take the flyover to Jalan Yos Sudarso.

Then, vehicles from the direction of Senen or Jalan Letjen Suprapto heading to Perintis Kemerdekaan Street will be directed to Jalan Yos Sudarso.

On the other hand, vehicles from the direction of Tanjung Priok or Jalan Yos Sudarso heading to Jalan Perintis Kemerdekaan were directed to take a flyover towards Jalan Ahmad Yani.

Finally, vehicles from the direction of Pulo Gadung or Jalan Perintis Kemerdekaan that go to Senen are asked to turn right towards Cawang or Jalan Ahmad Yani.

The demonstration against the Job Creation Law was carried out by several elements of workers who are members of the GBJ. The estimated mass attendance was estimated at 1,000.

Before heading to the State Palace, they first gathered at five points, namely the Pulogadung industrial area, the Cakung KBN industrial area, the Pasar Rebo flyover, the KBN Marunda industrial area, and the Pluit Reservoir.
