JAKARTA - PT Kereta Commuter Indonesia (KCI) has re-adjusted the operating hours of the KRL Commuter Line starting Thursday, October 15. Adjustments were made in relation to the implementation of the transitional PSBB period in DKI.

"PT KCI is again carrying out the operational engineering of the KRL Commuter Line starting October 15, 2020. Starting Thursday, KRL will operate from 04.00 to 22.00 WIB," said VP Corporate Communications of PT KCI Anne Purba in her statement, Wednesday, October 14.

Anne explained, KCI operates as many as 985 KRL trips with 91 train series operating every day.

Starting tomorrow, said Anne, the operational pattern of the Jabodetabek KRL will serve 80 stations through 418.5 kilometers of rail lines covering three provinces, namely DKI Jakarta, Banten and West Java.

"The capacity of users on each train has not changed, namely 74 people per train or about 40 percent of the user's capacity before the pandemic," he said.

Anne urges KRL users to always obey health protocols, such as checking body temperature before using KRL.

Also, passengers are asked to always carry out the 3M movement, namely using masks properly, washing their hands with soap and running water, and maintaining distance from other KRL users.

"PT KCI also requires KRL users to always use a mask of at least three layers which has been proven to be effective in preventing and reducing spread through droplets," he said.

The number of KRL trips for each route is as follows:

1. Lintas Bogor / Depok - Jakarta City (PP), as many as 214 trips per day

2. Cross Bogor / Depok / Nambo - Angke / Jatinegara (PP), as many as 182 trips per day
