Chronology Of The Fatal Accident In Karawang That Killed Seven People

KARAWANG - The Karawang Regency Police revealed the chronology of the accident that resulted in seven deaths and ten injuries on the Purwasari road, Karawang, West Java.

"Previously, we had conducted an investigation in the crime scene of the accident that occurred on Sunday, May 15 that afternoon," said Kasatlantas Karawang Police Commissioner Adjutant Laode Habibi Ade Jama when contacted in Karawang, Monday, May 16.

He conveyed, according to the results of the crime scene, it was known that the accident occurred when an elf car with the number T-7556-DB crossed the Purwasari Karawang road, from the direction of Karawang City to Cikampek.

Arriving at the scene, the car driven by Deni Budiman suddenly swerved to the right until it hit the road median and crossed into the opposite lane.

Then the elf's car crashed into a pickup car numbered T-8493-DZ which was passing in the opposite lane.

Next, the elf car hit four passing motorists, including a Yamaha Vino motorcycle with number T-4850-PJ, Honda Beat number T-3105-HZ, Honda Scoopy number T-4577-SU, and Honda Vario number T-2339-MM.

"The motorcycle riders who were hit were passing from Cikampek to Karawang Kota," he said, quoted by Antara.

As a result, seven people died and ten people were injured.

The identities of the victims who died in the accident included Nunu Dwi Rahmawati (31), Fitri Safitri (25), and Haikal P (31), all three of whom were residents of Purwasari Karawang.

Then Aisyah Binti Aluk (29), Yayan Sopian (30) and Budi Hartono (37), all three are residents of Klari Karawang District.

Another victim who died was a resident of Patokbeusi District, Subang Regency, whose name was Ricky Rianto (36).

According to information from the local police, six of the victims who died were taken to the Karya Husada Hospital, and one other person who died was taken to the Fikri Hospital.
