JAKARTA - Deputy Governor of DKI Jakarta Ahmad Riza Patria gave an explanation about whether or not the Jakarta International Stadium (JIS) could be used as the location for the 212 Reunion.

Previously, Riza gave a hanging statement about this. However, now Riza confirms that JIS cannot be used as a place for the 212 Reunion.

"I need to emphasize that JIS was primarily built for sports activities, encouraging the birth of Indonesian athletes to be proud of in the future," said Riza in her statement, Sunday, May 15.

Riza admitted that the JIS was built not only as a sports facility, but also as a place for residents to meet and interact with religious, social, and cultural matters. However, the provisions for the use of JIS for activities other than sports are still being formulated.

Riza emphasized that JIS will be open to positive activities by various groups, such as Gelora Bung Karno which can be used as a location for various activities, be it sports, social, to future political campaigns.

"For non-sports activities, the regulations and provisions are still being drawn up by PT Jakarta Propertindo (Jakpro). So, for now, it cannot be used as a location for the 212 reunion," said Riza.

Moreover, he continued, JIS is currently in the finalization stage. The stadium has not yet had a grand launch, so it still needs to be monitored and monitored closely.

"The DKI Jakarta Provincial Government also invites all people who will use JIS as a place for activities in the future to maintain all the facilities available at JIS. That way, JIS will continue to be a proud stadium in Jakarta and amaze in the eyes of the world," he added.
