Kemenkumham Says Ambon Mayor Has Been Prevented From Going Abroad Since 27 April

JAKARTA - The Ministry of Law and Human Rights has apparently prevented Ambon City Mayor Richard Louhenapessy since April 27.

The prevention was carried out in connection with the alleged bribery in licensing the construction of a retail branch in Ambon which is being investigated by the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK).

"The prevention has been active since it was entered through the online block application on April 27, 2022 and is valid for the next 6 months," said Director of Wasdakim Immigration Supervision and Enforcement I Nyoman Gede Surya Mataram in a written statement quoted on Friday, May 13.

In addition to the Mayor of Ambon, Nyoman said, there are other names who were also prevented from going abroad. namely A and AEH.

"The Directorate of Immigration Supervision and Enforcement has received a prevention application from the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) which was inputted through the Cekal Online Application by the proposing agency," he said.

However, the parties who have been named as suspects have not been announced. Likewise with the construction of the case. This announcement will be made at the same time as an attempt to force an arrest or detention.
