One East Jakarta Student Who Wants To Demonstrate Rejecting The COVID-19 Reactive Job Creation Law

JAKARTA - One student from Pulogadung, East Jakarta, who took part in a demonstration against the Job Creation Law was confirmed as being reactive to COVID-19. This is known based on the results of a quick test.

"One teenager with the initials MR (17) was confirmed that we have been reactive to the Wisma Athlete Hospital," said Pulogadung Police Chief, Kompol Beddy Suwendy, quoted by Antara , Jakarta, Wednesday, October 14.

From the results of officers' data collection, MR was recorded as a resident in Klender Village, Duren Sawit District, East Jakarta, who at that time joined 28 junior high school, high school / vocational school students from Bekasi City and Bekasi Regency, West Java.

Students who are netted generally come from Rawalumbu District, Bantargebang District, Pedurenan District, Mustikajaya District, and Babelan.

"They made an agreement around the Task Crossing, Jalan Bekasi Timur Raya, Jatinegara, Pulogadung, to jointly demonstrate in Central Jakarta," he said.

Beddy said at around 14.00 WIB, the group of students was successfully intercepted by the authorities at the border blocking post.

Then the student was transported to the Pulogadung Police Headquarters using an angkot that the police had rented.

"We immediately took a quick test. The result was one reactive teenager we sent to the Athlete House, while the negative one we called his parents to pick him up here (Police Headquarters)," he said.

Apart from the 28 teenagers, the Pulogadung Police also captured 13 other teenagers who were students at night.

"The second batch all come from Bekasi Regency, from Suka Sukun, Sukatani, Karang Bahagia and Suka Rukun," he said.

However, Beddy has not yet received the report on the rapid test results from the teenager. "Just this morning we submitted a rapid test," he said.

The involvement of students in the rejection of the Omnibus Law Law in the Monas area was triggered by an invitation through social media.

"It says 'Jakarta Calling', 'STM Moving'. Anyway, there are a lot of them on my Facebook. Nobody pays me," said one student from Cikarang with the initials AJ.
