Sleman Has No Reports Of An Increase In COVID-19 Cases After The Eid Holiday

JAKARTA - Deputy Regent of Sleman, Danang Maharsa said, during the 2022 Eid holiday there was no spike in cases of COVID-19 transmission.

"Based on records from the Sleman Health Office, during the Lebaran holiday this year there was no spike in confirmed cases of positive COVID-19 in Sleman," said Danang Maharsa in Sleman, Thursday, May 12.

According to him, during the period from April 29 to May 9, 2022, the total number of positive COVID-19 cases increased by 29, the total number of recovered cases increased by 46, and one patient died.

"This patient who died was a patient with comorbid encephalitis and had been vaccinated twice. However, the congenital disease was acute," continued Danang, quoted from Antara.

He said, for the status of the Enforcement of Community Activity Restrictions (PPKM) in Sleman Regency, it was level two.

"Until now, the COVID-19 case in Sleman Regency is still under control, this can also be seen in the COVID-19 zoning map at the village level in Sleman Regency as of May 8, 2022, where 60.5 percent of the villages in Sleman is already a COVID-19 green zone," he said.

Danang said that currently in Sleman Regency there are only three red zone villages or as much as 3.5 percent, namely Sendangmulyo Village, Kapanewon (District) Minggir, and Lumbungrejo and Mororejo Villages, Kapanewon Tempel.

"Meanwhile, there are no villages that are included in the orange zone at this time," he said.

He said, for the kelurahan that were still in the yellow zone, there were 31 kelurahan or 36 percent of them.

"The village-level COVID-19 zoning map issued by the Sleman District Health Office (Dinkes) is dynamic and published regularly," he said.

He hopes that the community can continue to be disciplined in implementing the program, so that later Sleman can get out of the COVID-19 pandemic to become endemic.
