JAKARTA - An earthquake with a magnitude (M) of 5.2 rocked North Sulawesi Province on Thursday at around 14:22 WIB.

The Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) said the earthquake's epicenter was 74 kilometers southwest of Bolaanguki, Bolsel, North Sulawesi, the location was 0.06 degrees South latitude and 123.48 degrees East longitude with a depth of 116 kilometers.

Earlier on Wednesday, May 11, an earthquake also rocked the Melonguane region, Talaud Islands, North Sulawesi, with a magnitude of 4.9 at 23.20 WIB.

The epicenter was in the sea, 36 km southeast of Melonguane with a depth of 27 km. Earthquake tremors were felt around the Melonguane and Naha Tahuna areas on a scale of II and III Modified Mercalli Intensity (MMI).
