DPRD Encourages Medan City Government To Re-Data Recipients Of Community Service Grants For Community Service Grants

MEDAN - Member of Commission II DPRD Medan City, Syaiful Ramadhan, encouraged the city government to re-collect data on grant recipients for the services of community service residents in this area.

"We have received many reports from the public regarding the Medan City Government grant service program, because in the field there are many who have not been registered to receive this program," said Syaiful as quoted by Antara, Wednesday, May 11.

Some of them, he continued, were Bilal corpses, grave diggers, administrators of houses of worship, mosque imams, Maghrib Koran teachers, Sunday school teachers and Hindu-Buddhist school teachers.

His party is ready to fight for an increase in the budget in the following year according to the Mayor's Regulation No.17/2021 concerning the Provision of Service Funds to Community Service Residents.

"We will continue to encourage the Medan City Government to carry out data collection again in the community related to the many reports submitted to us," he said.

He also revealed that the provision of service funds to the community was carried out as a form of respect for all community service citizens.

Based on data from the Medan City Social Service in 2021, it is stated that there are 17,501 people who receive public service grants with a budget of Rp. 57.2 billion.

"We will continue to provide support to the Medan City Government to budget an additional budget, so that people who have not received this service can be accommodated in the APBD," Syaiful explained.
