Head Of DKI Hanura DPD Jims Charles Kawengian Police On Alleged Scam In Beef Cattle Investment Of Tens Of Billions

JAKARTA - The chairman of the DPD Hanura DKI Jakarta, Jims Charles Kawengian, was reported on suspicion of fraud in beef cattle investment to Polda Metro Jaya. In the report, the reporting party, Henny Kurniati, suffered a loss of Rp. 30.9 billion.

"Yes, that's true," said the Head of Public Relations of the Polda Metro Jaya Kombes E. Zulpan when confirmed, Monday, May 9.

Based on the reporting data, the fraud allegedly committed by Jims Charles Kawengian began when the complainant was offered cooperation in the beef cattle sector.

In that offer, Henny was lured by a sizeable profit. However, the nominal varies.

Henny, who was convinced by the offer, decided to join the collaboration. He also transferred money to Jims amounting to Rp30.9 billion.

Over time, Henny was mentioned only a few times receiving benefits from Jims. So, he felt that he had been cheated.

Therefore, Henny reported Jims to Polda Metro Jaya. Reports registered with the number LP/B/1411/III/2022/SPKT/POLDA METRO JAYA, dated March 18.

"The report is still under investigation," Zulpan said.

In that report, Jims Charles Kawengian was suspected of violating Article 378 juncto 372 of the Criminal Code regarding fraud and or embezzlement.
