JAKARTA - The law office established by former KPK spokesman Febri Diansyah, Visi Law Office, provides free legal consultation through social media.

"We see that there are many legal issues in society that can be answered simply, but because access to legal knowledge is quite minimal and confusing, hoaxes are also massive, this ultimately has a bad impact on the flow of public communication on social media," said Rasamala Aritonang, Febri Diansyah, Managing Partner of Visi Law Office, was quoted by Antara, Monday, May 9.

The legal consultation was carried out through the #TheLAWYER program which in its inaugural edition presented one of the partners in the Visi Law Office, namely Rasamala Aritonang to answer selected questions from citizens.

Questions will be accepted within 1 week i.e. 9-13 May 2022 submitted via Twitter by linking the @visilawoffice and @RasamalaArt accounts and including the hashtag #TheLAWYER.

In the following week, the selected questions will be answered openly through the Visi Law Office account

"Questions that are seen as representing many legal issues in society are the ones with the most potential to be chosen and answered," added Febri.

Febri said that his law office also wants social media users, who are mostly young people, to be familiar with legal discussions, especially daily legal issues.

"In some cases, everyday legal problems also often place the public as potential victims," said Febri.

Furthermore, the #TheLAWYER program is also designed to become a brand or brand for direct legal dialogue or even free legal consultation for people who can't afford it.

"Gradually, the program that is oriented to the public interest will be developed by Visi Law Office, especially because of our concern for the people who are victims of legal problems and crimes, including victims of corruption," added Febri.

Febri also hopes that young people will no longer associate the advocate profession with only being a luxury-oriented party or even being involved in the practice of the legal mafia.

"And, for law faculty students, it is necessary to understand that being an advocate can provide space for you to do legal service to the wider community," said Febri.
