JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) deposited money into the state treasury amounting to Rp475 million accumulated in the payment of fines for three corruption convicts.
The fine money came from former Minister of Youth and Sports (Menpora) Imam Nahrawi, former Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM) Jero Wacik, and President Director of PT Tigapilar Agro Utama Ardian Iskandar Maddanatja.
"Executor Prosecutor Andry Prihandono through the KPK finance bureau has deposited into the state treasury an amount of IDR 475 million from the payment of fines for several corruption convicts," said Acting KPK spokesman Ali Fikri in his statement, Monday, May 9.
Ali detailed that the first installment of the payment of the fine of the convict Imam Nahrawi was Rp. 75 million of the total obligation of Rp. 400 million.
Furthermore, the payment of a fine for the convict Ardian Iskandar Maddanatja of Rp. 100 million. Then, the payment of a fine for the convict Jero Wacik of Rp. 300 million.
