Kakorlantas Opens One Way Option Backflow Valid For 24 Hours, All Depends On Congestion Level

JAKARTA - The National Police Headquarters Headquarters, Inspector General Firman Shantybudi, did not rule out the possibility that traffic engineering with a one-way system could be valid for 24 hours on 6, 7 and 8 May.

The police asked people affected by one way not to wait or queue in front of the toll gate.

"We could carry out the one-way implementation 24 hours a day until Sunday (8/5)," said Firman in a written statement received in Jakarta, Friday, May 6, quoted from Antara.

The National Police will look at the conditions on the ground to take a policy of implementing one way for 24 hours.

Firman asked the public to use arterial roads or look for other alternatives in the afternoon and evening.

"Please take advantage of the afternoon or evening. The local community has started to take a break, the road is rather quiet. So, don't hang or wait at the toll gate which we are currently using as a one-way implementation," he said.

In addition, he urges the public to follow the traffic engineering schedule by monitoring information via NTMC social media, running texts, and Jasa Marga announcements.

"It's better to follow, pay attention to the schedules, hopefully we will give one lane relaxation, maybe." said the Inspector General of Police. Word.

Firman directly led the one-way traffic engineering at the Kalikangkung Toll Gate, Central Java, Friday afternoon.

The one way implementation was attended by Coordinating Minister for Human Development and Culture Muhadjir Effendy, Minister of Transportation Budi Karya Sumadi, and Minister of PUPR Basuki Hadimuljono, marked by driving a patrol car at the time of opening one way backflow from the Kalikangkung toll gate to the Cikampek Utama toll gate.

"In accordance with the schedule that we conveyed before the homecoming flow. Today we will continue to anticipate the peak of the Lebaran backflow on May 6, 7, and 8, 2022 which I often convey. I hope that all people can take advantage of this schedule , today, tomorrow, and the day after tomorrow," said Firman.

Firman added, so that people do not force their vehicles to enter the rest area when conditions are full. Officers in the field will inform you when the rest area is full, then direct you to the next rest area.

"When we say it's full, please continue the journey first, except for those who are really tired, don't force it so that the vehicle behind it can keep going," he ordered.
