After Prabowo, Erick Thohir's Turn To Meet Jokowi In Bali

JAKARTA - SOE Minister Erick Thohir took the time to meet with President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) in Bali. He came with his wife after reviewing the implementation of the Cheap Market Operation in Pasuruan, East Java.

"After from Pasuruan I continued my journey to Bali", said Erick Thohir in a written statement to reporters, Friday, May 6.

Erick said his meeting with Jokowi was only limited to friendship before he again checked the readiness of BUMN facilities to welcome the return flow of Eid this year.

"Before checking the readiness of SOE facilities related to backflow and Eid holidays, my wife and I first made contact with Mr. President Joko Widodo and Mrs. Iriana at the Tampaksiring Palace", he said.

During the meeting, he continued, there were no serious discussions. Erick and President Jokowi and the first lady, Iriana, just chatted casually.

"We chatted casually with Mr. President Jokowi and Mrs. Iriana", said Erick.

Apart from Erick Thohir, Defense Minister Prabowo Subianto had already kept in touch with Jokowi and his family on the first day of Eid at the Agung Building, Yogyakarta Presidential Palace.

Prabowo, who was accompanied by his only son, Didit Hediprasetyo, admitted that he did not discuss political issues when he met Jokowi. The two of them only had small talk.
