Jakarta Transitional PSBB: No Face-to-Face, Distance Learning Is Still Implemented

JAKARTA - The DKI Jakarta Provincial Government emphasizes that there is no plan to allow face-to-face learning in schools during the transitional large-scale social distancing (PSBB) period. Teaching and learning activities are still held online or online.

Head of DKI Jakarta Provincial Education Office, Nahdiana said, the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government does not plan to open face-to-face learning in schools and is still continuing distance learning during the transitional PSBB period.

Based on Article 9 of Pergub 101/2020, it is stated that the regulations for controlling teaching and learning activities must use the COVID-19 health protocol. In Article 9 Paragraph 1, it is written an explanation of the COVID-19 prevention protocol for education personnel and students, as well as parents in an effort to participate in supervising student activities.

"However, learning has not been carried out in schools. In accordance with what has been informed that there are sectors that have been reopened during the Transitional PSBB, but schools are not included," said Nahdiana in a written statement received by VOI, in Jakarta, Sunday, October 11. .

Nahdiana explained, in Article 9 Paragraph 2, it is stated that the protocol for preventing COVID-19 in schools and in other institutions is stipulated by a Decree of the Head of the Education Office.

Until now there has been no official announcement from the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government through the Education Office to the Education Unit and students regarding face-to-face learning in schools.

According to him, if the learning can be done face-to-face again, the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government will issue a circular.

"Currently, learning is still done remotely until there is a stipulation of safe conditions for face-to-face learning in schools," he said.
