Depok Mayor Calls Eid Al-Fitr Evidence Of The Effectiveness Of Ramadan Worship Practices

DEPOK- Eid Al-Fitr is a day of victory for Muslims. Depok Mayor Mohammad Idris stated that Eid al-Fitr is a proof of the effectiveness of the worship practices carried out during the month of Ramadan.

"With all dimensions of social life as well as all good deeds, worship performed during Ramadan must reflect all aspects of human life," said Idris in Depok, Tuesday, May 3.

Idris explained Allah SWT in his word "La'allakum tattaqum" so that we, you and all of us become servants of Allah SWT who always fear Him.

"Taqwa in the true sense, namely fear of Allah SWT, obedience in personal and social life. Because Islam never distinguishes between the two," said Idris, as quoted by Antara.

According to him, being pious in the sense of being pious are those who communicate vertically with God and horizontally with others, including social, economic, trade and political life, which have been perceived as having gaps in intrapersonal and interpersonal communication.

"For that we must realize that Allah SWT explains "la'allakum tattaqum" is an output and must be realized in a concrete proof that we are obedient servants of Allah. In addition, it is a reflection of our prayer life, our tarawih, our zakat life , our fasting, and other worships reflect our whole life," he said.
