Bobby Nasution: Medan Residents Who Go Home Don't Forget To Report Kepling So That Their Homes Are Safe

MEDAN - Even though they are now able to carry out various activities more freely, including worship and the permission of the homecoming tradition, they must still comply with health protocols (prokes). Prokes is the main key that must be done so that health is maintained even though the COVID-19 pandemic is still not over.

"The momentum of this happy and triumphant day must be maintained by always implementing strict procedures," said Medan Mayor Bobby Nasution, quoted from a written statement from the Medan City Government, Monday, May 2.

"On behalf of the Pemko Medan, I wish you a Happy Eid Al-Fitr 1443 H and apologize physically and mentally for all the people of Medan City. On the momentum of this triumphant day, it is hoped that we will return to fitri and be able to stay in touch and establish good relationships with others," he hoped.

The son-in-law of President Joko Widodo said that since last night until the Eid prayer, the people of Medan City welcomed this triumphant day. However, Bobby reminded the public to strictly maintain the process because the COVID-19 pandemic is still not over.

In addition, Bobby Nasution also advised residents who have and will be traveling back and forth not to forget to report to the head of the neighborhood (kepling) and kelurahan, so that houses left empty can be monitored.

After two years of being suspended due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Medan City Government again held Eid prayers at Merdeka Square. Bobby Nasution with the Chairman of the Medan City PKK TP Kahiyang Ayu and thousands of people solemnly performed the Eid prayer.

International Qori Ustadz H Jakfar Hasibuan acted as imam, while the Chairman of the Medan City MUI, Hasan Matsum, became the preacher.

In addition to the Mayor, the Eid prayer was also attended by Governor Edy Rahmayadi, Deputy Governor Musa Rajekshah, Deputy Mayor H Aulia Rachman, Regional Secretary Wiriya Alrahman, elements of the Forkopimda of North Sumatra and Medan City as well as all OPD leaders in the Medan City Government.

The enthusiasm of the community for the Eid prayer at Merdeka Square is quite high. Since 06.00 WIB, people have arrived. The voice of takbir praising and glorifying Allah's name continues to reverberate until the Eid prayer is approaching. During the Eid prayer, Bobby Nasution was in the front row flanked by the Governor and Deputy Mayor of Medan.
