Eid Holiday, Domestic Tourists Enjoy Panorama From GWK Bali

BADUNG - Domestic tourists crowded the Garuda Wisnu Kencana (GWK) tourist attraction in Nusa Dua, Badung Regency, Bali, to enjoy the height from the top of the GWK statue during the 2022 Eid holiday.

As reported by Antara, Monday, May 2, tourists go around enjoying the scenery around the location and visit their favorite place on the 23rd floor, to be able to see the beauty of the island of Bali from a height above the GWK statue.

Head of Marketing and Communications of GWK, Oktaviano, said that from the head of the GWK statue, about 88 meters from the ground, tourists can enjoy the beauty of the scenery and capture the momentum with their cellphone cameras.

"On the 23rd floor, precisely in the area of the head of the Garuda Wisnu Kencana statue, there are 10 windows that are used for tourists to see the view of the island of Bali. They can see the scenery around the Nusa Dua area from the toll road above the sea, Ngurah Rai Airport, and so on", he said, quoted by Antara.

According to Oktaviano, during the current Lebaran holiday, tourist visits to the GWK tourist attraction have increased from usual days. The average visit reaches 700 tourists per day, and on Sundays, it can reach more than 2,000 people.

Meanwhile, a tourist from Jakarta, Adil, said that with the relaxation of the conditions for traveling back and forth, he and his family could visit tourist attractions.

Adil with his family visited this GWK tourist attraction as a favorite place. Besides enjoying the beautiful scenery, GWK is also an educational place to learn the history and culture of the nation.

"I invite the children to come here, hopefully, they will be able to love their own culture. The artwork of the famous artist Nyoman Nuarta is very well known throughout the world", he said.

The same thing was also expressed by a tourist from Surabaya, Bistia. She admitted that she was very happy to see Bali from a height of 88 meters.

"It's really nice to be back on vacation, even though the atmosphere feels different before the pandemic, even though there are now many visitors, but we still have to obey the health protocol", he said.

With increased tourist visits, GWK hopes that tourism in Bali will recover soon. Tourist visits are predicted to occur on May 9, 2022.
