In The Near Future, The Bribery Of The Former South Buru Regent Will Be Tried

JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has handed over evidence and suspect Ivana Kwelju (IK) from the private sector/President Director of PT Vidi Citra Kencana (VCK) to the prosecution so that they can be tried immediately.

Ivana is the briber of the former South Buru Regent Tagop Sudarsono Soulisa (TSS) in the alleged bribery case for the procurement of goods and services in South Buru Regency, Maluku.

"Today, phase II has been completed, namely the submission of the suspect and evidence for the case of suspect IK from the investigation team to the prosecutor team. The suspect's case file has fulfilled all the elements of completeness of the case file and is declared complete," said Acting KPK spokesman Ali Fikri in a statement. his statement was in Jakarta, reported by Antara, Friday, April 29.

He said that Ivana's detention would still be carried out by the prosecutor's team for the next 20 days, from April 28, 2022 to May 17, 2022, at the KPK Detention Center at the KPK Red and White Building, Jakarta.

"Within 14 working days, the team of prosecutors immediately transferred the case files and indictment to the corruption court for trial," said Ali.

Besides Ivana, the KPK has also named two other suspects as recipients of bribes, namely Tagop and Johny Rynhard Kasman (JRK) from the private sector.

In the construction of the case, the KPK explained that in 2015, the South Buru Regency Government announced a package of infrastructure work projects at the Public Works Department (PU) with a budget source from the special allocation fund (DAK) for the 2015 Fiscal Year.

One of the infrastructure work projects is the construction of the Namrole Inner City Road with a project value of IDR 3 billion.

Suspect Tagop, the 2011-2016 South Buru Regent, is suspected of unilaterally ordering officials at the Public Works Agency to immediately determine Ivana's PT VCK as the winner of the work project package, even though the procurement process has not yet been implemented.

The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) stated that in February 2015 before the auction was held, Ivana was suspected of sending Rp200 million as a token of appreciation to Tagop through a bank account belonging to Johny, Tagop's confidant, by writing a statement on the delivery slip of "Additional DAK on APBNP Bursel".

Furthermore, in August 2015, the auction process was carried out as a formality and declared PT VCK as the winner of the auction.

Still in August 2015, Ivana immediately submitted a request for an advance payment of 20 percent of the contract value of around Rp.600 million and was immediately fulfilled by the commitment making official (PPK) according to the initial order of the suspect Tagop.

Then in December 2015, the day after the contract execution period ended, Ivana was suspected of again transferring money in the amount of around Rp. 200 million with the information on the delivery slip "U/ DAK ADDITIONAL" to Johny's bank account.

The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) revealed that until the end of the contract implementation, the 2015 Namrole City Road construction project had not yet been fully completed.

Meanwhile, the money transferred by suspect Ivana through suspect Johny was allegedly used for various purposes by suspect Tagop. The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) is currently investigating the alleged flow of a sum of money given by Ivana to win various projects in the South Buru Regency Government.
