Increase In Prices Of Staples In Temanggung Friendly In Wallets, Chicken Eggs Increase By Rp. 2,000 And Shallots To Rp. 5,000

TEMANGGUNG - Prices of several basic necessities at traditional markets in Temanggung Regency, Central Java, are moving up ahead of Lebaran 2022. However, this increase is still wallet-friendly and affordable for residents.

Deputy Regent of Temanggung Heri Ibnu Wibowo after monitoring the supply of basic needs in traditional markets and Bengkal Bulog Warehouse said that there were several basic needs that were moving up.

Based on observations at the Kranggan Market, Temanggung, the prices of basic necessities that rose include chicken eggs, chicken meat, and shallots.

The price of chicken eggs from 24,000 per kilogram to Rp26,000 per kilogram, shallots from Rp35,000 per kilogram to Rp40,000 per kilogram, and chicken meat from Rp38,000 per kilogram to Rp40,000 per kilogram.

A basic food trader at Kranggan Market, Siti Sumiyati, said that the price of basic necessities tends to rise ahead of Idul Fitri.

He said, in the last week the prices of basic necessities tended to rise. However, there are also those that remain stable, such as sugar at Rp. 14,000 per kilogram, and the price of garlic has even decreased from Rp. 26,000 to Rp. 24,000 per kilogram.

Chicken meat trader Sudarti said the price of chicken meat today rose from Rp. 38,000 per kilogram to Rp. 40,000 per kilogram.

"The price of chicken meat since last week has continued to rise and is now reaching Rp. 40,000 per kilogram," he said.

Meanwhile, Deputy Regent of Temanggung Heri Ibnu Wibowo said that Bulog's rice stock in Bengkal Warehouse was around 1,500 tons or could meet the needs of the community for the next six months. "Especially now that the harvest has started, so the supply of rice is safe," he said.

Apart from rice, he said, Bulog also has supplies of sugar and wheat. However, Bulog usually provides frozen buffalo meat, but this time it was empty.
