JAKARTA - A number of Transjakarta bus stops were damaged and burned due to the chaotic demonstration of the Job Creation Act.

DKI Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan said that his party would prepare a temporary stop as a means of transportation for residents using Transjakarta.

"The DKI Provincial Government will provide alternative transportation. Later, temporary shelters will be prepared," said Anies in the HI Roundabout area, Central Jakarta, Thursday, October 8.

Anies said, a number of bus stops that suffered minor damage would be repaired so that they could be used by the community in the near future.

Meanwhile, for the Transjakarta bus stop that was burnt and suffered heavy damage, Anies continued, the repair process would take a long time.

"If the bus stops are burned down, of course it can't be finished tonight. It takes time to recover. So, these stops tonight will be measured how much damage is going to be. Total damage money will be prepared for temporary stops and those with minor damage can be repaired immediately for use. , "he explained.

For information, as of today, 18 Transjakarta bus stops were recorded damaged. This is the aftermath of demonstrations against the Job Creation Act in a number of areas in Jakarta. This action led to clashes between the participants in the action and the police.

The estimated loss experienced by Transjakarta is at least Rp. 45 billion. This figure will continue to grow, along with the data collection of losses that are still being calculated.
